Fallen

Friday morning after breakfast, an uneasy feeling came upon me. It was like those feeling that one is about to fall sick, body starting to feel weary and lethargic. Purged one before lunch time, then twice after that. Tempted to take the rest of the day off from work, but managed to stay on until end of the day. Drove home quickly and went to bed straight away, the time was 7.15pm. Thoughout the night, I can feel my temperature rising and things got more uncomfortable. Fever finally came and stayed on for a while, it brings back memories of the time where I got dengue. Starting to have some sort of difficulties breathing, so I was conscious to breathe in and out. I'm not sure whether I was dreaming or deep in thoughts, it seems that I was engrossed about figuring something out. Needing "6 clues" to unlock some "hidden information", feels like it took me a while to finally figured it out. After the "6 clues" were uncovered, another "6 clues" were needed to proceed on. This time was much easier, and one final answer was revealed. Look through back all the clues were discovered and the final answer, arrange all these information in a certain sequence and de-code it in using the last piece of information. Then all the clues fall into place and one final revelation was revealed. If I'm not mistaken it was the same time I fell the fever left me. At last I rest well in my sleep throughout the night.

The next morning I woke up at 8am, feeling discomfort over my chest. It's more like those muscles strained after a long tiresome exercise. Got out of bed, head to the shower and get myself cleaned up. Ate some bread and watched some television, hoping to get my body system up and running. Drank a cup of vitamin C soluable, should have drank this much earlier on. The muscles strain over my body persist, so I decided to go the clinic to get some professional help. The doc gave me some painkillers, muscle relaxant and hydrated drink. By noon time, I ate some bread and took the medicines, head right on to bed. As expected, the muscles ache causing my rest a bit uncomfortable. Finally the medicine kicked in, I fell asleep not long after. Well rested and woke up at 6pm. Feeling much better and able to move around easily without any sort of hint of uneasiness. This is one of my most quickest time to recovered from any sickness as far as I can remember. Just glad to be back on my feet again, I'm still pondering about the "dreams" that I was having during the feverish night. Begining to lost the vivid memory of it as days goes by. Hope to stay healty and remember how great it is to be healthy than reminisce about it on the sick bed. Therefore go be healthy and stay healthy.

Needle in a haysack

I was bored... so I decided to watch some TV before I get some Zzzzz. Channel surfing for a while until I decided to watch "Third Watch" on TV3. (for more info click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Watch). The show was okay and at the ending a song played capturing the emotions of the characters have gone through in this particular episode. I have heard this song before, but I don't know the song or the singer's name. After the show, I logged onto the net and start searching for it by googling some keywords "third watch"+"soundtrack"+"ending"+"songs"...and various words. Finally found a site that titled "Music from Third Watch", but this series been around since 1999-2005. There's at least 2 pages of songs that was featured thoughout the series. Look at the list of songs that includes information about each episode that featured a song, I know the song is there somewhere. Looked through the songs, and found a song title "No One At All" by Firehouse. Quickly search for the song and downloaded it, to my dismay it wasn't the song I was looking for. There must be a way to narrow down my search, then it came to me that I have watched it on TV3. I proceed to www.tv3.com.my and check on the TV schedule, not sure what I will find. I manage to get episode title "Third Watch : Sins Of The Father " with short synosis. This is great! I search the title of the episode in the list of songs and I found it. A title that matched and below it, was a song titled "One Thing" by Finger Eleven... I'm listening to the song now

Restless tonight

Cause I wasted the light
Between both these times
I drew a really thin line
It’s nothing I planned
And not that I can
But you should be mine
Across that line
[Chorus:]
If I traded it all
If I gave it all away for one thing
Just for one thing
If I sorted it out
If I knew all about this one thing
Wouldn’t that be something
I promise I might

Not walk on by
Maybe next time
But not this time
Even though I know

I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know
I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know

I don’t want to know
Yeah I guess I know
I just hate how it sounds

When there's a will...there's a way.

My handphone has a built in 42Mb memory... just enough for 6 mp3s. Yes, I occasionally listen to songs using my phone while driving to work. "Why?" you asked...it's because I'm too poor/lazy to buy a cd player for my car...and my car is a "unique" car (those who have sat in it will know why). Besides that, the usual radio stations DJ talks too much during the peaked traffic hours. Plus the very stressful experience driving with so many countless reckless drivers on the roads.

Anyway, me being me, unsatisfied with the memory limitations, I begin to wondered if there's another way to fit in more songs. Lo and behold... the secret to more songs in my handphone for my listening pleasure while driving to work....is "BITRATE" MUAHAHAHA.. so simple... it's been right in front of me all this while. The usual audio cd conversion to mp3 is 128kbps (kilo bits per second) or above for more superior and clearer quality. Hence, more data means larger file size. Using my most loved music player iTunes (I did the conversion using a PC). I change the mp3 importing settings to 96kbps...and VOILA!!!...6 songs that takes up 40 over mb...now only for 20 over mb!
That brings you to more songs. The quality of sound of course depreciates due to the lesser data file size, but when you are listening using a handphone, you can't really tell the difference. It still delivered a reasonable good quality stereo sound.

Ya...ya..I can hear you all saying... "you're nuts.!!" maybe i am...hehehe.
But there's a good moral lesson to my story...
"When there's a will... there's a way"
or there's a chinese saying "yeh hai sei geh.. yan hai sang geh"
(direct translation "things are dead... people are alive") p(^_^)q

Thank you for reading my technological breakthrough of the day.

It's been a long time...

i guess it's been a long time since i actually write anything at all.
so many things that have happened just in the span of a year's time.
so many ups and down, but mostly down...
thank goodness for all friends that have come my away and lifted me up.
surprised how far i have come and just glad that i have made it this far.
often wondered what's in-stored in the days to come.
let's just take one step at a time, and see what comes next.
